Most of the template is the same as your version clevelander the biggest difference is probably the picture, the mollahs pic is more related to Iran then to Azerbaijan, the picture itself says its from Iran. The best thing for now is the Azeri flag untill I can find something more suitable. Also other things I editted are the WOII and blood memory part are removed like your version and added some lines from my to this one. Baku87 13:11, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For the most part, I reverted this back to my earlier version, but I agree, the image of the mullahs is related more to Iran than to Azerbaijan. So, instead, I added that image of the Albanian stone.
Also note that I not only found the "bloody memory" section to be POV but also the addition of the March Days and the Khojaly Massacre articles as well. Neither of these events had a great impact on the history of Azerbaijan (certainly not on the scale of Black January). Also note that similar actions were committed by Azeris against Armenians during the Armenian-Azeri conflict (the subsequent September Days by Enver Pasha and his Army of Islam after the March Days, the Sumgait Pogrom, and the Maraghar Massacre (which was done in response to Khojaly)), yet these events are not included on Armenia's history template. -- Clevelander 20:40, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Alright now that you explained that I can understand your point, nice picture by the way, I only made a minor edit by adding the headlines, without them its kinda confusing because there are big differences between the timelines, we should keep those. Baku87 18:22, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, I'll concede to that. :) Best, Clevelander 20:04, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think that Nagorno-Karabakh War should be added to this list, it had alot of influence on Azerbaijan but if we take this step then we are going to have to add many other things such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline which basicly revived modern Azerbaijan from a economic crisis and South Caucasus Pipeline which will cost 50% more then BTC, etcetc. The template is going to be to long. You're right, perhaps it isn't totally necessary. I was thinking about cutting it from Armenia's template too. -- Clevelander 20:03, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I would do the same with the Armenian history template Baku87 18:16, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template Image

[edit]

Aivazovsky, there is no need to remove the Albanian stone and reinsert Momine khatun in history template. Have you discussed this with other contributors, to come to consensus? I am restoring the image, until you engage in discussion and explain the reasons for your replacement. Thanks. Atabek (talk) 17:32, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anon IP edited this page, in what could be considered as vandalism. Restoring to previous version. Atabek (talk) 22:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The IP is using improper comments in editing and not justifying removal of image related to Caucasian Albania (Azerbaijan). Please, engage in civil discussion on talk page. Thanks. Atabek (talk) 16:45, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

coat of arms?

[edit]

The coat of arms was removed in Octoboer 2009[1] and the template stayed without an image until May 2010 when someone added the Gobustan image[2]. I personally prefer the coat of arms, but I will leave it for others to decide which image is better:
