[edit]@PanchoS and Cplakidas: Γεια σας!
I notice that the MP biography disappears from the Parliament website for former MPs, and I wonder if there's a way to suggest a link to the past bio on the Internet Archive, the way I tried to do it on the equivalent French template.
What I mean is that this:
- http://web.archive.org/web/20140225050041/http://www.hellenicparliament.gr/Vouleftes/Viografika-Stoicheia/?MPId=629183a8-485e-4ef8-9c70-2be0d6ac0f0e (for George Papandreou)
is a lot more interesting than this:
However, there's an issue that the copy is sometimes under www.hellenicparliament.gr and sometimes under www.parliament.gr, I don't really know how to work around this.
Any ideas? Place Clichy (talk) 13:16, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sure, that's no problem and sounds like a good idea. However I won't find time before early January to implement this. Would be awesome if you guys could remind me, so I don't forget about it then. Cheers, --PanchoS (talk) 13:22, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
- @PanchoS: I found this discussion we had on which we took no action so far. What I did on similar template fr:Modèle:Député grec is to place the following archive switch before every URL:
{{#if: {{{archive|}}}|http://web.archive.org/web/*/| }}
- Do you think this would be enough to generate the expected behaviour? This would not be enough to correct the hellenicparliament.gr vs. parliament.gr issue though, if we want to treat this too. We might add another switch for the hellenic part, but this would probably not be very user-friendly. Place Clichy (talk) 13:29, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
