Cite name overlaps
[edit]This template is causing a bunch of broken references in articles. See USS Torsk
The problem is the name chosen for references defined here as "Register" and "FriedmanSubs1-specs" These should be renamed to be "hidden" from the obvious names that would be used within the finished articles. Just "__Register_propulsion-late-FM-2-GE " and "__FriedmanSubs1-specs_propulsion-late-FM-2-GE" would probably do it.
This also affects the other templates in this group, such as {{Fleet-boat-armament-5-inch-28-torps}}

- This had me very confused, as you can't see the conflict unless you look at the template. And I had no reason to suspect the template. Underscore seems as good a way as any to hide these, unless there is some other naming convention. The only problem I see is that you'll get duplicate entries in the Ref section if the same source is also cited in the article. Kendall-K1 (talk) 19:39, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
