Categories

[edit]

The categorization is definitely wrong. Cars like the Alfa 156 should not be in the same category as for example the Alfasud. I think only the Alfasud, 33, 145 and maybe the 146 belong to the category compact cars.

Well I'm not so sure. In the articles for the 155/156 they are defined as compact cars. I agree they are not as small as the Alfasud/33/145, but they are not as big as the 164/166 which is a mid size car. The 155/156 is not a big car. It is not as big as the 3-series/C Class/A4 which again like the 164/166 are mid size cars. Maybe the Alfasud/33/145 should be reclased as hatch back or something else? qwertytam 04:37, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Further to the above. Have just checked out Vehicle size class and for the example on compact cars they have the Ford Focus. The example for the Subcompact car is the Hyundai Accent. So it appears that the Alfasud/33/145 would be better suited to the subcompact size.
Some of those articles have (had) the American terms, when Alfa Romeos are mostly sold in Europe. I have added the British terms, which are equivalent with similar terms in other languages. The 147 and predecessors are small family cars, like the Golf, Focus, etc. The 159 and parents are compact executive cars just like the 3 Series, C-Class, S60, X-Type and company. The 166 is an executive car, similar in characteristics to the E-Class, 5 Series, A6, S-Type, 9-5 and so on. If you want to see other examples, you can check the European Fiat, Ford, Nissan, Renault, Peugeot and Volkswagen templates. -- NaBUru38 01:31, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move/renaming

[edit]

Since the creatation of the Alfa Romeo modern timeline, should this one be renamed Alfa Romeo Post War, and extend from 1946 to 1980.

Then a seperate timeline Alfa Romeo Pre War can be created for 1945 and earlier —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Qwertytam (talkcontribs) 02:43, 31 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Template split

[edit]

Six decades is a lot for most users. In 1024x768 resolution it is already too cramped; I don't dare see it in 640x480. I have moved the last three decades to Template:Alfa Romeo modern timeline and left the three first in this template (which might need another name, like "Template:Alfa Romeo early timeline"). -- NaBUru38 02:49, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NaBUru38, see my comment above under moving/renaming for changing the title of this article, and creation of another artice for world war 2 and earlier production. qwertytam 03:02, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Background colour for Dauphine

[edit]

I (now) understand why the Dauphine cell has a different background colour. But I suggest that it should be made "more different" from the standard background colour (perhaps with the addition of an explanatory footnote?), otherwise I suspect that other people will make the same mistake that I did and assume that it's supposed to be the same as the others. Maybe the same colour should be used for an Arna as it's a rebadged nissan cherry, made by Alfa?YBSOne (talk) 12:10, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well it not actually rebadged NIssan, only the body is same, mechanics are alfa -->Typ932 T·C 20:19, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ownership column?

[edit]

Hi

Can we move the ownership column (FCA vs Fiat mostly) to the top? It's in line with similar templates of other manufacturers
