Please use this infobox only for sportspeople engaged in climbing (e.g. mountaineering (alpine climbing), rock climbing (traditional climbing, sport climbing, free solo climbing, aid climbing), ice climbing (mixed climbing) and competition climbing). For other sportspeople, either use one of the specialized infoboxes designed for particular sports at "Category:Sportsperson infobox templates", or the generic template {{Infobox sportsperson}}.

highestredpoint | Highest redpoint the climber has successfully achieved. If this parameter is used, highestgrade will not be displayed. Use the {{climbing grade}} template for French sport grades or American YDS grades. |
highestonsight | Highest on-sight the climber has successfully achieved. If this parameter is used, highestgrade will not be displayed. If it was a flash, add '(flash)' after the grade. Use the {{climbing grade}} template for French sport grades or American YDS grades. |
highestboulder | Highest boulder problem the climber has successfully achieved. If this parameter is used, highestgrade will not be displayed. Use the {{boulder grade}} template for Font grades or V-grades. |
knownfor | Any particular activities, whether climbing or not, for which the person is noted (e.g. first to climb a particular technical grade, most IFSC climbing medals, winner of the Piolet d'Or, or inventor of climbing gear or technique). |
firstascents | List of important first ascents. |
namedroutes | Routes the climber has named. |
majorascents | The most important of the climbers ascents, whether a first ascent or not. |
