You're Mine (Eternal)
[edit]( )
- ... that the music video for Mariah Carey's new single "You're Mine (Eternal)" was shot at El Yunque National Forest (pictured) in Puerto Rico?
Created by Fidelove (talk), Calvin999 (talk). Nominated by Calvin999 (talk) at 17:39, 14 February 2014 (UTC).
- The article is plenty long enough, but I endorse whoever placed the {{quotefarm}} tag on the article. Please fix that first, and come back here for more punishment. ;-) -- Ohc ¡digame! 12:07, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- It was me who had placed that tag on the section. However, I see that it was removed by User:Fidelove who believed that he/she had fixed the issues. I can still see some quotes that are written as if its paraphrased, but its a copy from the source. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:04, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Perhaps I am looking at a different revision of the article to the one you are looking at, but I refute the inclusion of the {{quotefarm}} template. I say this is long enough, new enough, no copyvios found; QPQ not done. As for the hook, I would suggest something like this:
- ALT1:
... that the music video for You're Mine (Eternal) is her second music video shot in Puerto Rico? - ...but it's your call.--Launchballer 21:53, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- OKay. — ₳aron 11:09, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- Whoops, that hook doesn't mention Carey and thus has no context.
- ALT2:
... that Mariah Carey's "You're Mine (Eternal)" is her second music video shot in Puerto Rico? - Hook review required.--Launchballer 08:37, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- Article is new enough and long enough. ALT2 hook ref verified and cited inline. Since Calvin999 has more than 5 DYKs, a QPQ should be done.
- I found close paraphrasing under Music video; the line "the singer is seen perched in front of picturesque waterfalls and exotic greenery, doused in gold glitter, with sparkling butterfly wings on her bare back, and some serious cleavage" is lifted straight from the source in footnote 29. I am unable to check footnote 28, as it is not viewable outside the US; maybe you can verify that there is no close paraphrasing there.
- I also have a question about the sourcing; footnotes 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are all the same webpage, and footnotes 11 and 12 are also the same URL. Can these be amalgamated into one ref? Yoninah (talk) 01:13, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
- OKay. — ₳aron 11:09, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- Still waiting for QPQ and checking/correction of close paraphrasing. Yoninah (talk) 23:22, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
- I've just pinged Aaron/Calvin's talk page and told him that time is running out. Giving another few days for action to begin before closing the nomination. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:28, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- I will re-edit the entire article on Saturday 29 March (tomorrow) and overhaul it. — ₳aron 12:11, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- I've copyedited and tidied up the article. Let me know if anything else needs doing that is of hindrance to any of you. — ₳aron 22:59, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you, it looks much better. The article still has an "under construction" tag which needs to be removed before DYK approval is given. I added a ref in the third paragraph under Music Video, but another citation is needed for the rest of the information. Also, a QPQ needs to be done. If you're using ALT2, the hook fact needs to appear in the article; it's not clear that this is her second video shot in Puerto Rico. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 09:55, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

- ALT3:
... that Mariah Carey directed the underwater scenes in her music video for "You're Mine (Eternal)"?— ₳aron 12:11, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- Citations all in order. I removed the "under construction" tag. QPQ done. But it doesn't say that she directed the scenes in the article. Yoninah (talk) 13:12, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- Any hook will do then lol — ₳aron 13:41, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- So it looks like the original hook is the best after all. I added the picture in case the administrator needs it for the prep set. Article is new enough, long enough, well-referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. Hook ref verified and cited inline. Image is public domain. QPQ done. Good to go.
