Wiktor Zieliński
[edit]- ... that Polish pool player Wiktor Zieliński became the youngest ever winner of a Euro Tour event, winning the Treviso Open in 2017, aged just 16? Source: [1]
- Comment: Could also mention that the field was made up of 142 players for the event as well: [2] Archived 2017-11-17 at the Wayback Machine

.The article was created on 25 January. It is neutral, referring to sources with inline citations. QPQ done. Problems to be fixed are the following:(1) the article's prose portion (1257) is less than 1500 characters;(2) the lead contains close paraphrasing (maybe the whole sentence should be quoted: " He is probably the youngest and also fastest player to ever win a Euro-Tour event";and(2) hook fact is not fully verified, because the cited source says that he is "probably" the youngest winner. If the problems are fixed, the article would be good to go, because it is interesting. By the way, could a picture be added? Borsoka (talk) 12:30, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Borsoka - I didn't realize that the prose limit was at 1,500. I'll expand. The source does comment that he is the youngest winner "Wiktor Zielinski (POL), youngest Euro-Tour winner ever"; and the probably is due to the "fastest winner" connotation, and because the EPBF is German, so this is an official translation. I'll see if I can find the original German version. As for images, that may be an issue, as there are none on WikiCommons; and that is usually the only place for pool pictures. - this source confirms him as the youngest player, and I'll expand the article now. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:28, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Lee Vilenski, thank you for addressing my concerns. What do you think about the close paraphrasing? Maybe, I am just over-sensitive about this issue. Borsoka (talk) 16:51, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Borsoka - Well I've cited this to the other source in the article, so this is no longer an issue. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:33, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
- Lee Vilenski, sorry I think you misunderstood my last remark. I referred to the close paraphrasing issue in the lead ("...the youngest player to ever win a Euro Tour event..." looks like a fragmentary quote from one of the cited sources). Do you think the present wording is inline with Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing? Borsoka (talk) 03:56, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
Borsoka - I'm not sure I understand. I have summarized the text in this case, I could rewrite this to "the youngest Euro Tour event winner", if wanted, but I'm not really sure how this would be considered plagiarism. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 09:11, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
