Vernon Jones in 2007

• ... that Vernon Jones (pictured) was the first African-American to be elected as CEO of DeKalb County, Georgia—and the youngest person to ever serve in that office?

• ALT1:... that two-term DeKalb County CEO, Vernon Jones (pictured) left that office, only to fail at runs for the Senate (2008), the House of Representatives (2010), and DeKalb County Sheriff (2014)?
