Tsering Samphel
[edit]- ... that Tsering Samphel, a Congress Party candidate in the 2014 Indian general election, used to be president of the Ladakh Buddhist Association?

- There are plenty of references that mention Samphel included in this article, but with the exception of a few "default bios" on web pages, the mentions of Mr. Samphel are all of the "this guy said something about someone else". I can't find anything that really asserts Mr. Samphel's own importance. Am I missing one? Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:27, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
- There are plenty of assertions of notability in the article, but the one than unequivocally passes WP:POLITICIAN is "In 1987 Samphel was elected to the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly". --Soman (talk) 13:05, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
- You're right, I thought that was local until I clicked through. Maury Markowitz (talk) 21:49, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
