Tombaugh Regio

[edit]
Tombaugh Regio
Tombaugh Regio
Stricken ALTs
  • Reviewed: Girl with a Pearl Earring (soundtrack)
  • Comment: A failed ITN nomination done by me. :(  Meanwhile, the article will be renamed Tombaugh Regio by consensus soon. ALT5, ALT6, or ALT7 would be good for April Fools.

Created by Antony-22 (talk), Appable (talk), and Varkman (talk). Nominated by George Ho (talk) at 17:43, 18 July 2015 (UTC).

I'm striking a bunch of the hooks just to make less work for the reviewer. This isn't being held for April Fools, and some of the hooks are just more wordy versions of other hooks. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 21:49, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

I copy edited ALT8 for grammatical reasons. By the way, can you de-strike ALTs 5~7? There is Wikipedia:April Fool's Main Page/Did You Know. George Ho (talk) 21:55, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
Never mind; I de-struck these ALTs for April Fools. Let's leave it up to reviewer then. George Ho (talk) 04:39, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
I mean, the hooks are timely now, I don't think it's worth sitting on them for eight months until next April rolls around. TBH I'm not super crazy about ALT5–7 anyway, they seem more confusing than clever to me. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 05:35, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
  • Full review needed now that hooks seem to be set. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:47, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
I think the extremely large number of ALTs is intimidating potential reviewers, so I've hidden the stricken ones. I left one of the three versions of the April Fools hook, but I still would rather not hold it that long. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 00:04, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Dates are good, length is good, tone is neutral, prose is clear, and citations are plentiful. QPQ checks out. Text appears free of close paraphrasing. Hook facts are all directly cited and supported by their sources. I've struck ALT6 as confusing. ALTs 2, 4, 8, and 9 all check out but I have a very strong preference for ALT 8. - Dravecky (talk) 09:18, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
