Tom Goodisson
[edit]- ... that jockey Tom Goodisson won the Epsom Derby in 1815 on Smolensko, one of only two black horses to have won the race?

- Too short for DYK (1,333 characters prose). Hook fact not directly cited. No QPQ needed. --Soman (talk) 21:05, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks Soman. I have revised the hook and expanded the text. Please could I resubmit. Peaky76 (talk) 21:56, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- Article now 1994 prose characters according to DYKcheck. New review needed. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:12, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
- The article is now long enough and it was new enough at the time of nomination. The hook is supported with the inline reference which specifically mentions the colour of the horse, the other black horse winning the race being Grand Parade in 1919. I detected no policy issues.
