Stiftsbasilika Waldsassen
[edit]- ... that the Baroque Stiftsbasilika Waldsassen (pictured), a papal basilica minor, has an organ of 7,720 pipes?

- Question: As an 'organ ignorant' reader, why will I find this interesting? Is 7,200 pipes a lot? I think the hook needs more oomph. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 07:14, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- It's a lot. (Did you ever see a organ? How many do you see?) - I have no time for it today, see my user ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:13, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- Then, if it is a lot, the hook needs to make this clearer. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 16:44, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- Size (1733 characters) and date (September 26, if you exclude the starting date) check out. AGF on non-English sources. QPQ is needed.--SGCM (talk) 15:45, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- reviewed: Al-Fu'ah. I suggest we leave the hook as is. Organ people may be attracted by the number - rather than a dubious statement "one of the largest" -, others may want to know more about a papal basilica (a church with certain privileges conferred on it by the Pope), others by the pic if taken, - we don't explain in every hook why something is worth mentioning, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:59, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- Pic added that shows the organ, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:24, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- IMO, the part that's making the hook less than interesting is the noun-verb-predicate way the hook is worded. How about:
- ALT1: ... that the organ of the Baroque Stiftsbasilika Waldsassen (pictured), a papal basilica minor, has 7,720 pipes?
- ALT2: ... that the organ of the Baroque Stiftsbasilika Waldsassen (pictured), a papal basilica minor, has over seven thousand pipes?
- ALT3: ... that the organ of the Baroque Stiftsbasilika Waldsassen (pictured), a papal basilica minor, has nearly eight thousand pipes? Yoninah (talk) 18:56, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- All sound good to me, help in English wording is always welcome, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:03, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
