Shackleton: Antarctic Odyssey
[edit]... that Shackleton: Antarctic Odyssey was created for the 100th anniversary of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914?
- Reviewed: I still have to review another nomination and will post this here once it's done.

- I was just about to review this nomination when I saw that the QPQ review had not yet been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:07, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

- The length requirement is 1500B not 1500 words and this article is amply long enough as well as being new enough, and its a very nice article too. The article is neutral and I did not detect any close paraphrasing issues. You do not need to review another nomination until your 6th DYK. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:46, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
- New enough (created 8 Oct, nom'ed 15 Oct; barely made it).✓ Long enough (over 4k characters).✓ Neutral POV.✓ Reliable sources supported by in-line citations of reliable sources.✓ Checked for problems with close paraphrasing issues, copyright violations and plagiarism with half a dozen Google searches of phrases enclosed in quotes; all returned only to this article.✓ QPQ not needed because it is first DYK self-nom.✓ Hook is interesting✓ but cited source does not support that the book was published for the 100th anniversary.✗ Hook should be reworded, perhaps proposed Alt_1 (156 characters) or Alt_2 (162 characters)? - ALT 1 ... that Shackleton: Antarctic Odyssey was published just before the 100th anniversary of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914 on which it was based?
- ALT 2 ... that Shackleton: Antarctic Odyssey was released during the 100th anniversary year of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914 on which the novel was based?
- Reconfirming my approval of this article. I had the same doubt as Doctree about the original hook and had intended (though I see I did not do so) to change the "created for" in the original hook to "released in time for". I was distracted by being edit conflicted during the review. I have now struck the original hook and approve ALT1 and ALT2, either of which could be used.
