Rose (Doctor Who)

[edit]

The London Eye at night

  • ... that the Doctor Who episode Rose {climax location of the London Eye pictured} was the first Doctor Who episode for 25 years?
  • Reviewed: Lord Chunshen
  • Comment: This article has been in DYK before, but in the rules I could only see the prohibition of previous ITNs, if someone can tell me if I can have this as a DYK or not, then thank you

  • The hook looks wrong. From what I can see the episode was the first since 1989 (16 years) and the article mentions it as being the most-viewed episode since 1979, with "(making it the first episode in over 25 years)". Not sure what this means - "first such episode"? Could someone involved with the article take a look please. --Bcp67 (talk) 20:23, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Sorry, that must have been me mis-reading. How about Alt 1: that the Doctor Who episode Rose {climax location of the London Eye pictured} was both the first episode of the revived Doctor Who series, but the first episode penned by Russel T. Davies? Thanks, Matty.007 20:26, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Not sure I can see an inline citation for the specific fact that it was the first episode written by Davies, do the two facts in the hook come from one of the offline sources? --Bcp67 (talk) 20:47, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Both backed up in 'Background and casting'. Sorry, mobile editing. Thanks, Matty.007 20:59, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment: can D1 be clarified to include a note that it also applies to newly minted GAs that would otherwise be eligible? BobAmnertiopsisChatMe! 06:47, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
