- None of the sources say that the school building was burned down BECAUSE of the principal refusing to allow mixed couples at prom. Correct me if I am wrong but the arson attack seems to be unsolved. You have to find a source that says the asronist's motive was because of the prom. I gave some suggestions below.

- - Address the hook issues -- Thats Just Great (talk) 02:37, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
- Split the two things:
- ALT1 ... that the principal refused to allow interracial mixed couples to attend the Randolph County High School's prom? "Humphries, 55, had been suspended with pay following a theat to cancel his school's April 23 prom if interracial couples were to attend" [2]
- ALT2 ... that part of the Randolph County High School was burned down in an arson attack? "Federal arson investigators determined that the fire had been intentionally set." [3]
- Maybe structure the DYK so the events don't appear linked.
- ALT3 ... that the principal refused to allow interracial couples to attend the Randolph County High School's prom and then later part of the Alabama school was burnt down in an arson attack?
- Thats Just Great, the hook does not claim cause and effect. It says "after", not "because". If you like, we can change it to "only months after", for instance. Thanks! (Bmichelleh, can you edit the hook please?) Dr Aaij (talk) 23:29, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
- That would work. Approved with ALT4. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thats Just Great (talk • contribs) 23:59, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
- ALT4 ... that the principal of Alabama's Randolph County High School refused to allow interracial couples to the school's prom, and months later part of the school was burnt down in an arson attack?
