Percy and Wagner Almshouses, Hanningtons
[edit]( Back to T:TDYK )
( Article history links: )
- ... that residents of the Percy and Wagner Almshouses in Brighton were given two gowns, a black bonnet and a duffel cloak "not to exceed 21 shillings" from Hanningtons department store (pictured)?

- Comment: Hanningtons was started by User:Davidstewartharvey on 16 December at a time when I had been preparing material separately in a sandbox. I added and expanded that material accordingly. I
willhave manually added a DYKmake credit template for David. The almshouses were started in a sandbox (User:Hassocks5489/Percy) on the same date and moved 2 mainspace today. The hook, which is referenced directly by the Jones & Pollard book and also (with less detail) in Collis (2010), is mentioned in both articles.

- These two articles are new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline and the image is appropriately licensed. The articles are neutral and I detected no copyright problems by googling several snippets of text. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:20, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
