Ortez Alderson
- ... that the cremated remains of AIDS activist Ortez Alderson were thrown onto the South Lawn of the White House in the ACT UP Ashes Action of 1992? Source: "The 1992 Ashes Action...in which people threw the ashes of their loved ones on the South Lawn of the White House. Really, there needs to be a plaque on that part of the White House fence; it is the final resting place for so many, including for one of ACT UP's founders, Ortez Alderson, a gay black community activist from the South Side of Chicago." Hi Cielquiparle (talk), looks like it is well on the way to passing at AFD so reviewing in anticipation of this: article created 14 December and well in excess of 5x expanded from 19 December by nominator; article is well written and cited inline throughout to what appear to be reliable sources; I only checked a small number of the online sources but found no overly close paraphrasing from them; hook fact is interesting and mentioned in the article, the sources cited support the facts stated; a QPQ has been carried out.
