Notocrinus virilis
[edit]- ... that the crinoid Notocrinus virilis is sometimes parasitized by a sea snail? Source: "However, in Antarctica, Bathycrinicola tumidula (Thiele, 1912) exploits the endemic vagile comatulid Notocrinus virilis Mortensen, 1917,"

- Hi Cwmhiraeth, review follows: article created 21 March; article exceeds minimum length; article is well written; article is inline cited throughout to reliable sources; I discerned no overly close paraphrasing from the sources in a spot check; the hook is not mind blowing but is perhaps mildly interesting, it could probably use a link to crinoid as I don't think this is a common term; hook is cited in the article and checks out to the research paper provided; a QPQ has been carried out - Dumelow (talk) 10:23, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
- Can the hook be reworded? It seems a bit unclear to a general reader (in particular the word "parasitized"; shouldn't it be something more understandable like "host to a"?). In addition, is being a parasite host common among crinoids? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 07:49, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- How about
- ALT1 ... that the deepwater crinoid Notocrinus virilis broods its young in pouches on its arms? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:34, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
- That might be better, but I can't help but feel that it sounds similar to a recent hook. Could be deja vu, not really sure right now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 07:28, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
