Niayes

[edit]
  • ... that the Niayes region of Senegal is important for fishing, market gardening, cattle-grazing and birds? Source: "The whole site is very important in terms of human use, for cattle-grazing, fishing, vegetable, fruit and rice-growing and market gardening" and "The niayes as a whole are particularly important for a wide variety of breeding and wintering waterbirds and also raptors."

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: No - I would not consider this hook interesting, being typical uses for a coastal area.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Zerach (talk) 20:33, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

  • Perhaps another editor could reconsider this rejection. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:25, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
I don't think the hook is terrible, it just feels ordinary: plenty of places are "important for fishing, market gardening, cattle-grazing and birds", and the hook fails to show how the subject is special in this regard. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:10, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
How about? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:08, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
ALT1 and ALT2 are both acceptable (though I think ALT1 is the somewhat more eye-catching hook); French source accepted AGF. Rest of review per Zerach. Should be good to go now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:36, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
