Madonna of the Yarnwinder
[edit]- ... that thieves stealing one of the versions of the Madonna of the Yarnwinder by Leonardo da Vinci (right) in 2003 told tourists that they were the police as they left through a window carrying the painting?
- Comment: The article was Start-class until two days ago; not sure how much the prose content has been expanded by (it might be fivefold) but the page as a whole has tripled in size: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Madonna_of_the_Yarnwinder&diff=535446709&oldid=531105621

- I am a new reviewer but I don't think this article has increased 5-fold. The page size tool says previously the prose was 3,135 bytes and it is currently 12,288. It is an interesting and well written article. I'm not sure if the DYK rules will allow you to still qualify by adding another 4,000 bytes of solid prose, but I hope so. - The base size is indeed 3,135 prose characters, which requires the article to expand to 15,675 prose characters; it's currently at 12,109 according to DYKcheck, though 63 have to be subtracted for the inline WikiMedia Commons notice, making it 12,046. DYK rules do allow you to expand the article further—in this case by another 3,629 characters—if it isn't quite long enough, though the expansion should be done over the next several days if at all possible. - An additional 505 prose characters were added six days ago, taking the total to 12,551. Another 3,124 characters are still needed. As it has been over a week since I wrote the above, I'd like to hear from the creator as to how soon the full expansion could be done. I'm happy to keep this open while work is ongoing, but that means communication is needed on this page. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:58, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that since the initial rewriting I've been too busy to add the required content bar the 505 prose characters mentioned above. Apologies for the late reply as the 17th, when BlueMoonset wrote the above message, was the first day of an internet-free study trip from which I have only just returned. Therefore please consider the nomination closed. Ham 19:20, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
