    • ALT1:... that for failing to collect their quotas of Congo rubber, many people lost their hands?

  • A very important and interesting hook that retains its neutrality. The article itself was recently created, long enough, and as a whole is also neutral. QPQ is complete! I'm passing this but a note to closing editor: if the first hook is used I would re-word it "lost their hands and even their lives". The original phrasing reads like the people were killed then lost their hands. Or, if it's easier, I have no objections to ALT 1.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 23:38, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
Actually, the sources state that the people who failed to collect enough rubber were killed and their hands removed afterwards to be used as evidence that they were dead. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:30, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
Cwmhiraeth oops that is correct, I think I got thrown off by the image. It has been awhile since I read about theses atrocities in Congo. Live mutilation victims were mainly a result from when the Force Publique was covering up the misuse of their equipment. Thanks for the notice and the article.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 06:05, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
