Lake Manly

- Comment: If someone has a better hook that does not require knowledge of Death Valley, I'd be glad to use it. I think that https://pubs.er.usgs.gov/publication/wri954237 page 33 supports the hook but the PDF takes forever to load.

- The hook is inline sourced to Der Spiegel which is obviously RS, however, I'll have to take it on GF as I don't read German (the USGS source cited above, however, serves as verification of the fact's authenticity). The hook is extremely fascinating, particularly coupled with the photo. Earwig shows copyvio unlikely. The article recently passed to GA. Article long enough and QPQ done. The image is a NPS photo and is, therefore, PD. This looks good! Chetsford (talk) 00:04, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
