Article was created in the required time slot, and the length is more than adequate. Sources in the article are good and of high quality, the Hebrew-language citations seem valid although I am not fluent in that language. I am inclined to the first hook rather than the latter for three reasons: 1.) the first hook is more quantitative and is something the average reader might understand 2.) the dynamic between secular and religious Jews in Israel is perhaps unfamiliar to many non Israeli or non Jewish readers who will encounter it on DYK, perhaps underscoring the novelty of Ribo's popularity achievement 3.) I have an issue with the word "widely" that is used in the second hook. It seems to me a bit of a weasel word. Although all the sources state that Ribo is immensely popular in Israel across the spectrum, the use of the word in the hook seems a bit speculative in comparison to the first hook, which is more quantitative. - It seems that a good portion of the article is dedicated to how Ribo is popular with secular audiences, so maybe the second hook could be worded to something like "...even though Israeli musician Ishay Ribo (pictured) is an Orthodox Jew whose music deals exclusively with religious themes, he is popular with both secular and religious Jews?" Some of the issues I brought up are still present here, which is why I would still recommend the first hook, although perhaps the phenomenon of Ribo's popularity among the religious spectrum of Jews could be included as a fact in articles such as Music of Israel or Jewish music.
Other than that I see nothing further that should prevent this from being on the DYK in the main page. Ready to be promoted in my opinion. Inter&anthro (talk) 02:20, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
