Imelda (film)
[edit]... that Imelda Marcos (pictured) claimed in the film Imelda that she "inspired the poor to dress better"?

- Not quite comfortable with the article as it stands. It needs some copy editing for sentence structure. I would also love to see the reception section rewritten to remove the quotes. EagerToddler39 (talk) 04:26, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- I've edited it a bit and removed some of the quotes. I don;t know how to fully remove them without violating copyright so I need helpe there.--Theparties (talk) 14:00, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- I believe the article lacks enough context for readers to sufficiently follow. It would be good if you summarized just two sentences about Imelda as the wife of Ferdinand Marcos and some of the issues surrounding her. Eg. "In the film First Lady Imelda responds to some of the criticisms that were leveled against her while her husband was in power." Especially in the synopsis section this would be very useful. Additionally the article needs to be copyedited for typos. EagerToddler39 (talk) 00:43, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- It might tak a while before I could do anything about this, maybe a week or two. I'm currently busy with real life so I may not have the time. Thanks anyway for your input.--Theparties (talk) 21:53, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- User:Ohconfucius has copyedited the article and added some context, I think it's ready to be re-reviewed. The proposed hook doesn't quite highlight the absurdity of Marcos' claim; how about this?
- ALT1: ... that Imelda Marcos (pictured) claimed in the film Imelda that her extravagant clothing "inspired the poor to dress better"?
- I've removed the easter egg link to Poverty in the Philippines both here and in the article; it's not really necessary. DoctorKubla (talk) 08:43, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
