Expansion, date, and hook is ok. No close paraphrase detected (all sources in Spanish). It would be possible to go with the original hook, but for clarity I'd like to suggest:- ALT1 ...that Mexican parliamentarian Hortensia Aragón Castillo's alternate deputy is her sister?

I agree with Soman that ALT1 is quite catchy. If you don't like "parliamentarian", leave it out:- ALT1a:
