Holcaspis brevicula
[edit]- ...
that only 10 specimens of the Eyrewell ground beetle are known? Source: "Only 10 Eyrewell ground beetles have ever been found." Hancock, Farah (2018) "Dairy conversion threatens rare beetle habitat"- ALT1:... that the critically endangered Eyrewell ground beetle occurs in just one pine plantation, currently being cut down and turned into dairy farms? Source: "The home of a threatened beetle is being replaced with 14,000 cows as part of a dairy conversion." Hancock, Farah (2018) "Dairy conversion threatens rare beetle habitat"
- Reviewed: No QPQ needed, as this is my fifth DYK nomination (and last freebie)

- This article is new enough and long enough. The image is suitably licensed, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I have tweaked the hooks a bit and added some extra references to the article to cover the hook facts. Both hooks are good to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:13, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. I like your reworded version of ALT1 better, so can we use that for DYK? I'll strikethrough the first hook. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 09:30, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
