Nominated one day after creation, so new enough. Prose if 1.6k slightly exceeds the 1.5k requirement, so long enough. Prose is written in a neutral manner. Every sentence of every paragraph of every section is referenced to a reliable source for the context. Earwig found no copyvio, and I see no close paraphrasing, organizational similarity, or any other copyright issues. Hook is within format parameters, and is interesting to a broad audience. The hook's claims are directly found in the article, and they are directly attributable to the source immediately cited after the claim. QPQ complete. Image is properly licenced, is used within the article, and displays well at small size (although the sign itself gets a little lost.) Hi, I came by to promote this, and found another ref from Historic England that refers to it as a gallows-type sign. I'm wondering if we could add that to the hook. Honestly, the sign does not show up well in the thumbnail image so I was planning to promote it without that. The "gallows" wording will certainly spice it up. Let me know. Yes, sounds fine to me. I remember reading about the gallows, I was just a bit concerned about its, well, gallows humour, but if you've found another source, that might not be such an issue. Thank you for your kind and undeserved praise. It's nice to know an old hooker like myself can still be useful. I don't mean to prolong this, but on looking again we might consider:

I mean, the man is not himself literally green, but his tweeds are green, so it's a thought. (I'm not a fan of linking things which distract from the bolded link and which the reader will easily find linked in the article; thus no link on Ashbourne, Derbyshire.) E Eng 15:48, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

The problem with A2a is that poses removes the (intentionally misleading) implication that he's being executed, which is the point of A2. E Eng 20:03, 20 November 2019 (UTC)
