- ... that during the inaugurations of Lithuanian monarchs, the Gediminas' Cap was placed on the monarch's head by the Bishop of Vilnius in Vilnius Cathedral? Source: "Gedimino kepurės uždėjimas ant galvos valdovui ir kalavijo įteikimas Vilniaus katedroje sudarė Lietuvos valdovo inauguracijos aktą." (English: The placement of the Gediminas' Cap on head of a ruler and presentation of the sword in the Vilnius Cathedral made the act of inauguration of the ruler of Lithuania; source), "Per lietuviškąją inauguraciją buvo uždedama Gedimino kepurė (tai darė Vilniaus vyskupas)" (English: During the Lithuanian inauguration the Gediminas' Cap was being placed (this was being performed by the Bishop of Vilnius); source).
