... that D. I. Suchianu (pictured), born the same year as cinema itself, was Romania's oldest film critic by 1975? Source: Both facts from Florian Potra, "Cărți—Oameni—Fapte. D. I. Suchianu nu mai are 80 de ani", in Viața Românească, Vol. XXVIII, Issue 9, September 1975, p. 54; mentioned in different parts of the entry -- the highlighted coincidence of his having been born together with cinema itself is in "Interwar culture critic", him being the oldest by 1975 is in "Old age".

Suchianu (pictured), wanted Romanian moviegoers to cease "falling asleep whenever they're not shown a naked breast [or] a hip that's getting some action"?
