It's hard to believe that Navajos (in Arizona) insist on jack pine (from Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Canada) for their cradleboard frames. This cannot be correct. --Orlady (talk) 21:38, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
Other sources ([1], [2] suggest juniper, ponderosa, and pinyon pine as cradleboard materials. As Orlady points out, jack pine would be a botanical impossibility for Navajo culture. Choess (talk) 06:27, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Good catch, thank you -- that was dumb of me -- my source in fact says "Ponderosa" pine, so I've corrected the article and the DYK nom. OttawaAC (talk) 17:05, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
