I think either of those Alt hooks is good, I like the April Fools-style hooks you've gone for - that could be quite fun (and give a bit more attention to everyone's least favourite topic: journalist biographies)! Article is new enough, double the character requirement, and has no other disqualifying factors. The move will need to be resolved one way or another but I don't see it as a big deal. Sources appear appropriately reliable. Hooks are cited in-text - my strong preference is ALT2, which is hilarious.
