- New enough, long enough, neutrally written. I have a question about the sourcing: other than Bodybuilding.com and TechVibes, are there any reliable sources here? There is also a "citation needed" tag in the last paragraph. The hook ref is verified and cited inline. The only change I would make to the hook is to replace "before turning 24 years old" with "before his 24th birthday". QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 16:41, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Thanks for the copyedits and reviews. I would argue that the Muscle and Performance is a reliable source. In addition, the sources for the Youtube vlog and Instagram popularity are from the objective counters on the websites. He has also been covered by People Magazine (maybe not reliable, but is certainly significant), though through various edits this reference has been removed from the article. Apparently next month Guzman is going to be on the cover of Train Magazine, which will be another reliable source. I restored the citations to the statement that had a citation needed tag. Let me know your thoughts. Malinaccier (talk) 17:48, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Malinaccier: OK, then, I think you have enough RS's. I deleted the People magazine citation because it was fluff. I just copyedited the article to add an "Early life" section as in most biographies. If you have a source for his birthplace and younger brother, please add it to those sentences (though as a start-class article, those citations are not strictly necessary). I deleted the "Personal life" section because it was mostly fluff, and the part about him running a business in Houston is already in the lead. I tweaked the hook for the promoter. Good to go. - I cannot bring myself to promote this, the hook facts are so mundane. There must be millions of Americans with a net worth of over two million dollars. There is no reliable independent source in the article so I started a discussion on the Notability noticeboard. The view seems to be that he is notable so I am proposing ALT1. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:30, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that 300,000 people watch every time Christian Guzman trains?
- Before turning 24 is not very mundane, but I am fine with this alternative hook. Malinaccier (talk) 05:43, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, Cwmhiraeth, your hook is a lot hookier. The wording is similar to the source, but I believe WP:LIMITED applies here. ALT1 hook ref verified and cited inline. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 12:27, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
