Chic Chocolate
[edit]- ... that Goan jazz musician Chic Chocolate is known as the "Louis Armstrong of India"?

The dating of the DYK nom with the article is a problem: the DYK was added June 30, for June 27, but the article was new on June 19th, and the expansion that did happen on the 27th doesn't appear to meet the 5x requirement. There may be some IAR here consider how close the dating is that I leave for comment, but this needs to be pointed out. Other aspects of the hook appear fine (might I suggest this "Times of India" article as a better source for it?)
Sorry, I was confused about the date. Can that be solved? Can I invoke IAR? :)
I've added the ToI article you pointed out to as a reference for the nickname in the main article. Is this what you were suggesting, Masem? The Discoverer (talk) 22:02, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
