Chesapeake Bay Bridge
... that the first walk across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (pictured) was organized after a Boy Scout Leader asked the Governor if his troop could walk across it during maintenance?Source: "when a Boy Scout leader in Towson, Md., asked then-Governor Marvin Mandel if his troop could walk across the ... Bridge while it was closed for maintenance." [1]- ALT1:... that the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (pictured) has a reversible lane that changes traffic direction based on vehicle volume? - Substantial GA on fine sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed, but looks like other bridges. How about the one next to "expansions", showing the size better? The original hook is a long read, and the ALT is not too exciting for "the scariest bridge". I'll approve it if you don't come up with something more attractive. We need every paragraph to end with a citation, please add the few missing. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:00, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

ALT2: .. that nervous drivers can purchase a shuttle ride over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (pictured)? Source: "'drive-over' service that transports those sweaty-palmed people wary of crossing the bridge..." [3]
Also, I don't see a requirement for having citations at the end of every paragraph. WP:DYKSG says that all paragraphs must be cited, but I believe that is currently met. AviationFreak💬 02:54, 9 October 2020 (UTC)- fine, ALT2 preferred, - perhaps "nervous" is not yet the best word for "sweaty-palmed" though. - Just for explanation: if the end if a paragraph is without citation, that fact has no citation. You can "hide" such facts in the middle of a para, but at at the end, they are open. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:44, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote ALT2, but while the hook says this service is current, the article says it "used to be" available. Also, why not link "nervous drivers" to Gephyrophobia? Yoninah (talk) 19:17, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- Does ALT3: .. that nervous drivers can purchase a shuttle ride over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (pictured)?
work? I wanted to avoid WP:EGG. As far as the drive-over service, the article states that the MDTA used to provide the it, but now private companies do. The hook supports this idea. If you think the article needs to be reworded, just let me know. AviationFreak💬 19:42, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
