- ALT1: that Chen Xiaocui (pictured), Chinese painter and writer who helped translating Sherlock Holmes into Chinese, was persecuted and committed suicide during the Chinese Cultural Revolution?
- Piotrus, thank you for the prompt review. Also many thanks for the alternative hook. Too many died during the Cultural Revolution that the fact of dying itself does not strike my nerves any more. Helping to introduce Sherlock Holmes when she was still a child, however, is remarkable. --TheLonelyPather (talk) 13:38, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
