Carolyn Sherif
[edit]- ... that World War II inspired one young woman to help establish the psychology fields of sports psychology and gender studies?

- Multiple problems with this one. First, the article has not been expanded five-fold. (By my count, and excluding the publications section, the expansion is about four-fold.) Second, portions of the article appear to be lifted verbatim from the source material, including this bio from the Feminist Voices web site (e.g., verbatim lift of "Wood Sherif received many awards and distinctions for her work. ... she received the Association for Women in Psychology's Distinguished Publication award in 1981."). Third, the sources do not appear to support the hook fact, in particular that she helped to "establish" sports psychology and gender studies or that World War II "inspired" her to go into the two listed sub-specialties.
