Bridge Inn, Topsham
[edit]- ... that Queen Elizabeth II was presented with a crate of ale when she visited the Bridge Inn, Topsham?
- ALT1: ... that the first public house officially visited by Queen Elizabeth II was the Bridge Inn, Topsham?
- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Lisa Bortolotti
- Comment: I'm aware that "first" hooks are presently unpopular, so I've dropped it to the ALT, however, the source is the Telegraph and they make a bit of a thing about the fact it's first time she's visited a pub.

- Date and expansion OK. I am going to approve the original and would prefer the ALT, however given the amount of nitpicking going on around here lately, I can only pass ALT1 if "officially" is included in there because of course there is always the possibility that HM did visit a pub on her "night out" on VE Day. No close paraphrasing, QPQ done. So good to go on the original but ALT should be used ahead providing some version of officially is included. The C of E God Save the Queen!
