Baer's pochard
- ... that the Baer's pochard in East Asia has seen a population decline of more than 99% in the past decades and is no longer migratory in central and east China? Source: population decline: IUCN & Wang et al. 2017 (in Bird Conservation International); no longer migratory: Wu et al. 2022 (in Remote Sensing).

- Length of expansion, date (albeit should have been fielded under 1 August), close paraphrase check all ok. New user, no need for QPQ yet. However, on the hook - the article says "Since the winter of 2010-2011, Baer's pochard has no longer wintered in any sites other than mainland China, with only vagrant records. In the wintering grounds of mainland China, the population has also declined severely, even by more than 99%." Is the 99% decline in the same time period from 2010-2011? Or are these different periods? If the 99+% decrease refers to a longer time period (when the bird wintered in other countries in East Asia, then the hook would need to be reworded. --Soman (talk) 15:54, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. No one knows when it declined exactly, but not within a single winter of 2010-2011. Researchers just discovered and confirmed it at that time. There is more detailed information in Baer's pochard#Threats and Protection about its history in other countries. "Past decades" or "recent years" is a common statement about the population of Baer's Pochard. ——🦝 Raccoozzy (talk・contribs) 16:11, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- I've updated the article, changed it to "Since at least the winter of 2010-2011".——🦝 Raccoozzy (talk・contribs) 16:28, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
