Amitermes meridionalis

[edit]

Magnetic termite mound

  • ... that the magnetic termite builds its wedge-shaped mound (pictured) with its axis in a north-south direction?

Created by Cwmhiraeth (talk). Self nominated at 09:30, 3 February 2014 (UTC).

  • Article newness and length are good. Well referenced with inline citation for the hook. no policy issues with the article or the image. It will be good to go if the "always" is removed from the hook and article, as none of the cited references if that level of definite confidence to the axial alignment.--Kevmin § 02:53, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Removed the offending word. There was a study, which I have not referenced, which found a variance of less than 5° if I remember correctly. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:23, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Wording is good now. Nomination is good to go now.--Kevmin § 17:23, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
