QPQ done. Article expanded well beyond 5x, and properly written as far as DYK goes (no plagiarism, neutral voice); not a disqualifying concern, but please make sure to read the Manual of Style on the length and redundancy of sections (some are way too small, and quite redundant -- with the current length, you could just fold most of the article into a "Biography" section), as well as on how the lead paragraph is expected to summarize the article content (it doesn't now). However, neither hook is interesting to anyone, they are merely descriptive. I want to suggest including his arrest in a farm field and/or death in a Soviet camp, but: the fact included in the hook is expected to be followed by a citation, and as we stand the fact of his arrest is not explicitly sourced to one of several of the references used. This can be easily fixed if you add a citation or two or three right after the fact, which would also clarify which citation cites which part of that paragraph. - @Dahn: I had figured that high ranking military officer serving as minister of education is a fairly unusual fact in itself. Anyway, some more options:
- ALT2:... that Estonian general and former Minister of Education Aleksander Jaakson (pictured) was arrested by NKVD on his farm's field?
- ALT3:... that Estonian general and former Minister of Education Aleksander Jaakson (pictured) was arrested by NKVD on his farm's field and killed in a Soviet prison camp?
- ALT4:... that general Aleksander Jaakson (pictured), who had served as the Minister of Education of Estonia and the Chief of Staff of the Estonian Army, was arrested by NKVD on his farm's field?
