Alcohol-related crime
- ... that drunk driving is among the most common alcohol-related crimes? Source: https://doi.org/10.1002%2F9781405165518.wbeosa039.pub2
- ALT1:... that alcohol-related crimes range from petty underage drinking to violation of alcohol laws and serious violent crimes? Source: https://doi.org/10.1002%2F9781405165518.wbeosa039.pub2

- @Piotrus: New enough redirect conversion and long enough. I did need to do some copyediting on the piece. QPQ present. I do note that some of the quotes in the "prevention and enforcement" section are overly long; would it be possible to maybe paraphrase Sung a bit more here? If that can be done, I think this is ready for DYK. Raymie (t • c) 06:19, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Raymie: I tried to rewrite it a bit. The list content is not IMHO easily rewritable as it contains mostly legal and scientific jargon. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:28, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
- Fair enough. The rewrite definitely helps. AGF tick on the paywalled source. Raymie (t • c) 06:30, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
- I was about to promote this, but some paragraphs have no citations. Could you also clarify the period in the third paragraph of the lead, is this an annual figure? (The source is decidedly unhelpful.) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:20, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: I've added the missing refs. I am not sure how I can clarify the numbers in the lead you mentioned beyond what the source says, if the source is unclear, well... --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:00, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Replacing tick. I could not access the lead source before and thought it was in Chinese, but now I can see it. The source does not give a date or period for the figure so neither can we. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:13, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but "in the United States" needs to be added to ALT0. In general, the article does seem very U.S.-centric, and I wonder if it should be tagged or renamed that way. Yoninah (talk) 14:03, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Drunk driving is a problem in many other countries. I added sources for this and some other content for internationalization, but in the end, many sources talk about US statistics, some without generalizing things much. Overall, based on new sources such as WHO, I think it is fair to say that drunk driving is a worldwide problem. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:17, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
