Obmoz.com
[edit]I was wondering if that other link on that parody site leads to a safe page, "spiralviral" because the name sounds kinda odd... and suggestive... >.< --Kafeithekeaton 17:25, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Transcription
[edit]Anyone willing to take the time to list everything that is actually said on zombo.com on the main page? -- 71.77.15.222
- That would likely be copyright infringement. -- LGagnon 23:50, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- What would constitute copyright infringement in providing a transcription? Merely curious...
- Quotation right, bro. --94.134.62.247 (talk) 21:19, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Sister sites
[edit]I remember visiting some other zombo com spinoffs that I assume were visible during zgeneration. It was something like dogod.devo.net (this is not correct btw, just something similar) and it was exactly like zombocom except they said dogoddotdevodotnet. Any info?
Carribean?
[edit]When I think carribean, I think of some Jamaican saying "Eh mon!" (apologies for the stereotype). I would call it more European (Like Ricardo Montalban talking about Corinthian Leather) or Eastern european (Like the count from sesame street). --Xrblsnggt 16:38, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- We are not changing the article based on your concern for the lack of a stereotype. -- LGagnon 18:41, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- That's so like your kind. --Xrblsnggt 18:44, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- You do understand we have a rule against personal attacks, right? -- LGagnon 01:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- You do realize its a freaking joke, right? -- 204.210.193.197
- It's still a personal attack, even with a poor excuse such as a joke. And I'd advise you to be a bit more civil as well. -- LGagnon 22:57, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- Relax, it's a joke. Geez. - JNighthawk 18:05, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Personal attack? Sounds like some people need to experience a little thing called the real world. Anyway he sounds spanish to me.
Using "Your Kind" is pushing the envelope for jeftful jabbing.
Uhhmmm ... African, yes? I'm pretty sure it's African. African. Yes.
Password
[edit]What's with the Password? I mean I've been to zombocom alot and I couldn't find anywhere to type it in. If it is vandalism Why hasn't someone taken it off?. Wikiman232 00:39, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think the password should be removed from the wiki article unless someone knows where it should be entered... --69.231.169.29 01:07, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
2011 restoration
[edit]Now that the article is back, there may be some useful material from older incarnations that should be merged in as well. I'm thinking of http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zombo.com&oldid=144043931 . Melchoir (talk) 06:04, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Music
[edit]Does anyone know the source of the background music? JKeck (talk) 06:34, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
New version, new address, same thing, now HTML5?
[edit]I just found out that the website has a clone supposedly made using HTML5. Here! Now we can all be sure that "zombocom" is finally going to deliver what's promised! (or is it not?....) Lucky guess - Making the same joke now towards HTML5, as the previous time it was towards Flash. I'm not sure of who made this and if it were the original makers or not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by H9armando (talk • contribs) 12:27, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
I found this interesting stack of lines in the HTML source of the page:
HTML5zombo.com Bertrand Fan (bertrand@fan.net) 5/19/2010 I wanted zombo.com on my iPad. That is all. =================================================================== How I did it, for nerds: =================================================================== Watched the Net tab for zombo.com in Firebug wget http://www.zombo.com/inrozxa.swf wget http://www.zombo.com/welcomeclip.swf Opened them in SWFRIP to extract the MP3 and SVG representations of the logo and spinner. Opened the SVG files in Adobe Illustrator (ironic, I know), tweaked a bit, exported new SVG files Copy-pasted the SVG contents into this HTML file, tweaked the attributes a bit Wrote the JS code to rotate the SVG spinner Converted the MP3 to OGG using oggenc2 (not really necessary for the iPad, but apparently for Firefox) Discovered that the iPad does not respect autoplay on HTML5 audio tags, crafted a javascript link for iPads wget http://www.zombo.com/favicon.ico =================================================================== References: =================================================================== http://www.zombo.com/ http://twitter.com/zombocom http://sourceforge.net/projects/swfrip/ http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/documentation/AudioVideo/Conceptual/Using_HTML5_Audio_Video/AudioandVideoTagBasics/AudioandVideoTagBasics.html http://html5doctor.com/native-audio-in-the-browser/ http://emacsformacosx.com/ http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
