This article is in great shape. I just have a few comments/queries:

  • the article would benefit from a map showing where the Yukon is, as an Australian, my knowledge of Canadian geography is limited, and I'm sure that would be common among readers not from Canada. I also think a map showing the route taken would also be useful in that section of the article.
  • It isn't clear what the relationship of the Yukon was to the rest of Canada at this stage, especially when you later say that ppl are travelling from Canada to the Yukon. Was it part of Canada at that stage?

  • I'd link Ottawa in the lead and at first mention in the body
  • suggest adding the distance between Winnipeg and the Yukon, for context
  • in "establishing a barracks there the following year." it isn't clear what year this was
  • Note a talks about a stampede, I think that has a different meaning than gold rush, and suggest sticking to similar terms
  • In this context, they're equivalent, but agree its worth using the same term - done. Hchc2009 (talk)

  • suggest linking Permanent Force of the Canadian Militia in the body at first mention
  • suggest replacing the second instance of "the detachment" with "it"
  • link Lieutenant-Colonel
  • "250 kilometres" needs |adj=on added to the convert template so it renders as 250-kilometre
  • suggest "on to Fort Selkirk" rather than onto
  • suggest being consistent with Fort Selkirk and Selkirk, unless the latter is a different place
  • Allen could use an ISSN or similar, as could Morrison (1974)
  • File:Yukon Field Force in Vancouver.jpg needs either publication info or a date of death of the photographer for the current licensing
  • File:Military drills at Fort Selkirk, Yukon Territory, ca 1898 (HEGG 64).jpeg needs categorisation
