This article states that Kawauchi follows the training of Arthur Lydiard. It implies that Lydiard-style training focuses on distance rather than speedwork. While there are certainly more knowledgable Lydiard fans than myself out there, I'm pretty certain that Lydiard used speedwork. Any thoughts before I do some editing?
