Xanthium spinosum
[edit]I see this as being a beneficial plant on our farm. What i am trying to do is ascertain what it is that the plant deposits in the soil? That is, some plants help to fix zinc and if you spray zinc on the land you eliminate the problem weed, i.e. a weed is a plant for which we have found no use but nature needs for its 'fix'. so, what I would like to know is, does anyone know what it is that this plant 'fixes' in the soil?
