Funding
[edit]How much funding and when will it be awarded and spent ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:22, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
- @Rod57: Looks like the when awarded is now in the article. When a source is found for program funding, anyone can add it, even you. N2e (talk) 10:23, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- added ref for "$146 million in DARPA funding" contract - later abandoned by Boeing - Rod57 (talk) 03:25, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Boeing
[edit]The DARPA page mentions: "Three companies get the nod to outline their visions of DARPA’s next-generation spaceplane." [1] -- While the WP article mentions two of them, the third isn't included, which is: "The Boeing Company (working with Blue Origin, LLC)". Since this source would be considered a primary source, I didn't add this info to the article. Anyone? —71.20.250.51 (talk) 23:04, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Did each of the 3 proposals use an identical expendable 2nd stage
[edit]Article says what mass to orbit, but what mass does the reusable first stage release as the 2nd stage+payload ? Is the 2nd stage specified by DARPA, or different for the 3 proposals ? Did they all plan to stage/separate at the same altitude & velocity ? At the very least can we add details of the Boeing 2nd stage ? - Rod57 (talk) 13:49, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
Discussion re Boeing withdrawal in 2020
[edit]A secondary source : [2] - which also notes " In 2017, Boeing won the contract for the second and third phases that included $146 million in DARPA funding and an unspecified contribution by the company." - Rod57 (talk) 03:16, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
