About Suggested Deletion
[edit]I have spent whole day transforming the award results into a decently formatted Wikipedia article. I'm not ok with some one planing to delete it just because it doesn't appela to him. -Easyas12c (talk) 00:12, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- OK, but you shouldn't claim ownership on an article; that's not how wikipedia works. In my opinion this could be merged into the awards page itself, just like the other awards. I'm not convinced it merits a page of it's own, it just looks like lis cruft. Oh and to my eye the flags go against the policy on flag use. But a big thank you for not deleting the tag out of hand. -Blowdart | talk 17:49, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not claiming ownership over the article. I do claim ownership over the actions that resulted in the initial form of the article. I feel that I am an individual who produced it. Extensive study of western philosophy reveals that this might be a mere feeling, and it is not easily defendable, yet I, provided my existence, can't help getting that feeling. Also, I don't have a problem with other people editing the article. I just can't see deleting the article as an improvement of it. -Easyas12c (talk) 04:05, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- I read through most of the flag usage policy and I don't think the article is violating that, if you want you can bring up specific problems in a follow-up so we can discuss those in greater detail. -Easyas12c (talk) 04:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'd have said the flag usage violates Do not use flags in general article prose and Do not emphasize nationality without good reason. And there's nothing wrong with "but a list' -Blowdart | talk 09:14, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes it is not prose, but the good reason rule is harder to interpret. I wouldn't think the countries were that important in articles about the persons, but I feel it is important for showing the distribution of awards between different parts of the World. Also I think this hi-lights the awards that are exceptional in this sense. -Easyas12c (talk) 18:54, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- I found out later that the same information already existed in Wikipedia (List of XBIZ Awards recipients), but that article was nothing but a list. -Easyas12c (talk) 04:05, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Trimming some of the fat and better sourcing
[edit]While I don't support basically blanking the vast majority of this article, I do think that some more of it could be trimmed and/or updated. I removed a lot of awards that I thought were pretty minor (there may be more to come if we don't get some decent sourcing for more stuff here), and I don't know that listing all the current nominees is necessary in this article at all. A simple external link to those lists should be fine. Once someone does win something significant, it can surely go into this article, provided that it has a valid source. Guy1890 (talk) 05:18, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- To start out, I've added some external links to lists of all the past XBIZ Award winners, which can be used later to populate more needed inline citations in this article here. Since the PORNBIO standard has been recently changed to exclude all nominations, it still doesn't seem necessary to me to list simple award nominees in this article. Orphaned references in XBIZ Award
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of XBIZ Award's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

- From Keira Nicole: Rhett Pardon (January 16, 2016). "2016 XBIZ Award Winners Announced". XBIZ. Adnet Media. Retrieved January 16, 2016.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 21:15, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
