The GM World of Motion ride had an early sixties day family picnic outing theme scene towards the end of the ride. The ride was first featured at NY World's Fair in 1964. The car in motion was being driven presumably by the mother, there are three kids in the car while they are traveling, one dog and a visible picnic basket. The car was a new design offering for 1964 in that the 4-door station had fixed slanted roof mounted viewing windows on three sides, including the front. It was a GM and most likely an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. There was one child in the passenger seat and two others in the back seat.
The dog had its head out the window into the air stream with its tongue hanging in the wind at the rear tailgate open window. Approx halfway thru the life of the Epcot World of Motion Ride, without any fanfare, the race of one of the children in the car was altered, which was for the times was rather uncharacteristic. 2601:6C3:100:4CC0:2824:EB2E:7940:619E (talk) 01:23, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
