Not held in Mozambique 2008 ???
[edit]Can anyone please provide a reference stating that the upcoming Moot will NOT be held in Mozambique? That infomation is new to me – it surprised me – and a quick search on www.scout.org did not confirm it. Is it just a rumour? 130.216.191.184 00:44, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Wosm circular #24/2006 (published in August) contains the repor of the World Scout Committee meeting in March where they discussed the issue, and resolved to make inquiries and decide in september. I haven't seen anything yet on the september meeting of the World Scout Committee. --Lou Crazy 23:51, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- The WOSM events database now lists the Moot as "Mozambique, To be confirmed, 2009" Zaian 21:18, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- And according to the Circular 42/2006 "the Secretary General [is asked] to present a final proposal [...] to the World Scout Committee at its March 2007 meeting", so let's look for any new information around (at least Scouting Feb/Mar07 issue doesn't tell more either)... - FWIW, the table listing all World Scout Moots [1] just says that the 13th one will be in 2010 in Africa! --Emb021 15:03, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Per documents for the upcoming 38th World Scout Conference, the 2010 Moot will be in Kenya and they are taking proposals for the next one in 2013. Only Canada has put forth a bid for that, so everything should be finalized by the WSC. --Emb021 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.182.158.153 (talk) 15:40, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Image Import?
[edit]Another question: Might we import the 2004 Taiwan Logo? They state that "reproductions are allowed only for the purpose of promoting the event", but what else than promotion (don't misunderstand me: no adverts, but info) for the "Moot as such" would a picture be? I've no idea if this could go, but I think yes. FloK 21:22, 18 March 2007 (UTC) Who decided that 13th World Scout MOOT will be held in Kenya?! MOOT should be organized by LEMO, the League of Scouts of Mozambique, in 2010 with SASA support. Yours in Scouting. [edit]- per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Icons#Inappropriate use, which was cited in my edit summary, the flags should not be added-the Scouting WikiProject frequently has to remove them from articles
- it is bad form to remove existing sources in favor of your own. If your sources are good, add them, but don't remove the old sources
- it is bad form to rewrite large sections of existing articles-your text should fit in to the existing text, not overwrite it
- That said, I believe you are a dedicated Scouter, and your hard work is appreciated, if you will work with those editors who have been working on these articles for years, and not against them--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 13:59, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
