Merger with Timeline of women in World War II
[edit]The Timeline of women in World War II article is so short that it could easily be included in its entirety as a section of this article. As such, I recommend that Timeline of women in World War II be merged here. Neelix (talk) 17:20, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Adding information
[edit]On the sub section listed United States it directs the reader to a link of another Wiki page. I would like to keep the link for an additional resource but add some information under the subtitle so the reader can obtain some broad facts on women in the United States during World War II without the need of going to another page. I would like to add some information on Elsie Ott, the first woman to receive the U.S. Air Medal.

Added information to article
[edit]Added under "civilian pay" dollar amounts in comparison to men vs. women wages. I had an error after adding these sentences, had to edit again and remove "bold" font. HISTORYLEARNER2018 (talk) 13:15, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Removed some information
[edit]Removed, "Women were also victims of the belligerents. Nazi Germany and collaborators killed approximately 6 million Jews during the Holocaust, approximately 2 million of which were Jewish women. Roma and disabled women were also among those targeted." This is included under the "World Patterns" subtitle, it's not needed for this article.
Added link: Women were forced into sexual slavery; the Imperial Japanese Army forced hundreds of thousands in Asia to become comfort women before and throughout World War II. HISTORYLEARNER2018 (talk) 14:19, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

Elly Beinhorn was not a Nazi
[edit]Having her name next to the NSDAP flag as she was not an active pilot in WWII is defamation. Editor8778 (talk) 15:36, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
